Reimagine CBC, the campaign supported by the Canadian Media Guild to oppose the budget cuts and work to ensure the future of public broadcasting, is urging Canadians to host and attend local meetings about the future of CBC during the week of May 14 to May 19. You have an important perspective on this issue and likely a number of friends and neighbours who might be interested in having a conversation. Please consider participating!
Click here to sign up to host a local event – in your living room or a local library or coffee shop – or find one near you: http://events.leadnow.ca/ .
The local gatherings are intended to bring CBC supporters together in their communities to learn about the budget cuts, talk about the best ideas from the online forum, and share thoughts about the future of the CBC. The feedback from the meetings will be included in a final report to be delivered to CBC, the federal government and the CRTC.
Anyone who signs up to host a meeting will get a simple How-To Guide with key steps to ensure you have a rewarding gathering that contributes to the national conversation. Find out more at http://events.leadnow.ca .
