We’ve updated the guide to working in factual TV
By  CMG  •  Posted on  April 14, 2016

The Campaign for fairness in factual TV has updated the Guide to working in Canadian factual TV for 2016. The new version includes updated information on what people are being paid in the industry, based on a recent survey conducted among workers.

The Guide is intended to help workers and production companies understand the big picture of the industry and offers suggestions for decent working standards. The original Guide was sent to executives at Canadian companies producing factual television last year. Workers have also been meeting with production companies to discuss the Guide and the suggested standards. The aim is to negotiate standards across the industry with an association of factual production companies.

For more information on the campaign, contact CMG organizer Karen Wirsig (karen@cmg.ca) at 416-591-5333, ext. 222.
