A memorial service for our union brother, friend and colleague, Keith Maskell, will be held Tuesday, May 16 at the Monarch Tavern in Toronto from 7-10 p.m. (12 Clinton Street, 1 block south of College St.)
Keith’s family is inviting all who knew him, including the wider Canadian Media Guild community, to share in a celebration of Keith’s life.
If you are in the Toronto-area, please consider attending if you are able to do so.
The family’s invitation reads in part:
“In keeping with Keith’s spirit, we are hoping to not make this too sombre an affair. Keith would want it to be a gathering of friends enjoying music, sharing memories and raising a glass (or two). The space has space (a stage in fact) for a jam session as we know many of his musical friends wanted to play a tune in his honour. As a tribute, we encourage you to wear a rugby jersey because Keith was rarely without one.”
Whether or not you are able to attend the celebration of Keith’s life on May 16, please feel free to review our union’s online tribute.
The tribute contains some lovely photos and testimony from those who worked most closely with Keith at CMG and knew him best.
As always, our union is about what we can do and build when we pull together.
