Adoption of agenda: Dave moves, Arman seconds – passes unanimously

Ongoing Business
Bargaining update
- The bargaining team has been meeting to brainstorm and strategize ahead of October. There will be town halls to share information with CMG membership throughout the bargaining process. If any members want to connect with the bargaining team directly, they can use CBCBargains2024@cmg.com
Sept 13 Stewards Training update
- The Chief Stewards are prepping for the upcoming session on Sept 13th.
Communications committee update (website/instagram)
- Next communications meeting is on Sept 11, the committee will request permissions to access the back end of the CBCCMG Toronto website. The committee will discuss updating the site.
Labour Day event debrief – best practices for next year
- It was a great turnout for the Labour Day parade. Really nice to march in solidarity with our union siblings. Discussions on possible best practices for next year
Hybrid work update, many members RTW Sept 5
- Most members in the News department have been asked to return to working in the CBC building as of Sept 5
Holiday party committee prep update
- The finalized date for the holiday party is November 30
September 21st Social event details (schedule and to-do lists)
- Event is planned for 11am-3pm, outside TBC on edge of Simcoe Park
Sept 14 Temp social budget approval
- Will take place at Bar Hop, for temps and early career members. An opportunity for Q&A about bargaining, AP band upgrade, etc
TVO strike Support
- The LEC moved to buy TVO strikers lunch sometime next week and donate $500 to their strike fund

- Announcement – VP Olena is resigning due to a job opportunity, formal resignation letter to follow
- PDD Committee – new member needed (due to Olena’s departure, there will be a vacancy)
