Member Skills Training

Interested in enhancing your skills?

As a CMG Toronto member, you can take professional tutorials from industry experts through the LinkedIn Learning library of online skills training at no cost.  (We formerly had access to Lynda.com, but that service was bought by LinkedIn).

The program is offered through CWA/NETT Academy which has a full complement of on-line training resources for members.

What programs do they offer?

Brush up on existing skills or learn new ones in creative fields like design, audio, music and photography, as well as business, technology, leadership, marketing, and lots more.

How do I sign up?

CWA/NETT has updated their registration process and you will need to register and set up an account as of December 2023. Make sure to choose CMG from the drop down menu and type in your local # (you can look up the CMG local here).

Once you register, staff will verify your full membership in good standing. You will receive an email through the registration system if your request is confirmed or denied.

If confirmed, you will receive an email from CWA/LinkedIn with activation instructions. Please allow 3-5 business days to allow this process to be completed. You will have 30 days to activate your account.

Registration is open until December 22, 2023.

Do I need a LinkedIn account to access the online learning?

NEW: You must now have a LinkedIn account in order to access the online learning.

If you have any issues setting up your account, please contact Kevin Celata at cwanettacademy@cwa-union.org.

Please share this process with your fellow CMG/CWA Canada members.
