Guild executive at CBC appoints new vice president
By  CMG  •  Posted on  July 3, 2007

The Canadian Media Guild’s executive at CBC has appointed Kenn Sunley vice president to replace Pierre Claveau, who retired from the CBC in June. Kenn, who also sits on the executive as the director for the Prairies, will serve as vice president until the Guild elections in the fall.

We would like to thank Pierre for his many years of dedicated service to the union. In his role as vice president, Pierre was instrumental in shaping the Guild’s CBC Branch structure as it stands today. He also served on the last negotiating committee.

In addition, we would like to thank Philippe Bourbeau for his many years of service to the union. Most recently, Philippe served as SRC-West Director on the Branch executive and was a member of the national grievance committee and the Consultative Committee on Staff Benefits. Philippe also retired from the CBC in June.

We commend Pierre and Philippe for their efforts and the personal sacrifices they made on behalf of all members at the CBC. I hope you join us in wishing them the very best in their future adventures.

Marc Philippe Laurin
