We’ll be back at the table with Shaw management and the federal conciliator on Monday. The two remaining issues on the table are salaries and pension and management is expected to deliver a new proposal on salaries.
Our overall position remains the same. We’re looking for:
– A fair and logical salary structure that provides rates in line with the industry.
– Mandatory management contributions of 5% to our pension savings, in line with what the company contributes for virtually every other employee.
We have scheduled membership meetings for Thursday July 21 (at noon and 5 pm) at St. Andrew’s church to follow up with all of you after next week’s crucial meetings. We hope we’ll have good news to report.
