Factual social banner for eventbriteOur second annual Toronto social co-hosted with LadyDrinks will be held on Tuesday October 2 at Ocho on Spadina. It’s a free event and everyone is welcome. Last year’s event was a smash success. It’s a great way to reconnect with colleagues and get the latest info on what’s going on in the industry. Details and RSVP here. Please spread the word.

Guild calls for changes to Ontario labour law

Factual TV worker Buffy Childerhose and CMG president Carmel Smyth gave a presentation on September 18 to the panel reviewing Ontario labour law. Much of the Guild recommendations come from experiences of people working in factual TV and are aimed at closing loopholes in employment standards. You can find out more and read the brief here.

If you have any questions about anything that’s going on with you at work, don’t hesitate to get in touch. All information is kept confidential.
