We are looking for up to three Guild members to form our bargaining committee. If you are interested, here’s what you need to know:
-Negotiations with management are expected to start in November.
-Expenses and time off from work to attend negotiations are paid for all members of the bargaining committee.
-Training will be provided and no experience is needed; the most important thing is to have a commitment to your co-workers and the ability to think strategically.
-Participating on the committee requires full days, typically two or more at a time, over several weeks to negotiate an agreement. Some days will be in person.
We are looking for a committee that is representative of the membership – this means age and gender balance, and representatives from the different areas of Vice.

Our Branch executive will finalize the selection by the end of October. We expect starting to meet among ourselves virtually in November.
