The new incarnation of the Toronto Local Executive met January 20th. The meeting included a two hour training session offered by Bruce May and Karen Wirsig who are Canadian Media Guild staff. They were there to give LEC members a better understanding of how best to represent members and to help elected representatives work with CMG staff.

CMG staff member Dan Oldfield addressed the LEC about the proposed contract with management, about the loss of NHL hockey contract and its impact on jobs, as wekk as pension plan issues. He then he fielded questions on those issues. And at lunch, CMG members who ran in the last election came to share some pizza and make connections with the new committee.
